Oregon man is stunned to discover he won $8.9m on lottery ticket he bought then FORGOT ABOUT for months: Will now take home $200,000-a-year for the next 30 years
  • Wilbur Brown of Oregon won the $8.9 million Oregon Lottery jackpot after purchasing a ticket on Christmas Eve - then promptly forgot he'd entered
  • 'After the first few drawings, I’d check my ticket,' Brown told the Oregon Lottery. 'Then I just kind of forgot about it and wasn’t checking'
  • Three months later, when he visited the Moose Lodge, where he'd bought the ticket, he recalled the purchase - and realized he'd won after scanning his ticket
  • Brown chose 15, 33, 34, 40, 42 and 47, according to the Oregon Lottery
  • The odds of winning the jackpot were 1 in 6,135,756, with Brown taking his winnings in the form of a $200,000-a-year annuity for 30 years
