Now if they could just come out of the gate a little hotter, and recruit a few more blue-chip recruits so Riley doesn't have to shepherd them along until they're ready to roll in November-December they'd be really something.

Oklahoma and Michigan twice while they were top 5 teams.

Oregon St. does play well against USC, I'll give them that. But to anoint Oregon St. a superior program is a little far-fetched.
 
Congrats to the Beavers. Great win for OSU. I'm a huge Duck fan and many people were writing the Beavers off after the early loses. The Beavers do that almost every year. If they could start out good they would then have a great program. Under Riley for some reason the Beavers are never ready at the start of the season but always finish strong. I had a feeling OSU was going to play USC tough and even gave them a chance to upset them.

Great win. Hopefully this propels them to a very good season. Next year maybe we'll get out of the gate a little quicker?
 
So does this mean USC will drop from the top 25?

I think they should.

This win makes that Stanford loss hurt worse. We'd be 3-1 and probably in the top 25 if we hadnt fumbled late in that game. Getting crushed by Penn. St at their house doesnt look so bad now because they are looking like a really good team.

I think the Beavers should schedule a cupcake the first game at home then have a bye week right after. Maybe Riley will then have the team ready and be able to start a little better. Again congrats to the Beavers great win!:cheers:

What a shocker. Husky/Beaver fan trashing the Ducks.

Congrats on the win. Beavs looked solid and very impressive last night. Better program? Don't think so.

Come back to me when you do either of the following:

1) Finish September with a winning record.

2) Sell out your stadium when you play a top 5 team in the nation at home.

Winning and successful programs do both.

Last I checked, your Ducks arent exactly known for finishing their seasons strong.
