Now I havent looked these stats up or anything. I was just reading on another Ducks forum and someone posted what they read. So take it FWIW.
I know there are some Alioti critics out there but these numbers sure make his unit look good.

- Oregon's defense is number one in red-zone defense, in 17 trips inside the 20 opposing teams have only scored 7 TD's and 2 field goals.

- Oregon's defense has only allowed 2 TD's and one extra point, 13 points, in the 3rd quarter and 0 points in the 4th quarter this year.

- Oregon's defense is number 7 in Pass Efficiency Defense along with defensive powers such as Nebraska, Alabama, Ohio St. and TCU,

- Oregon's defense is allowing only 30.2% 3rd down and 21.4% fourth down conversions, both are in the top 10%.

-Oregon's defense has only allowed 8 total yards in punt returns. Oregon's defense allows less yards per play than almost every other team and is near the top in many team and individual defensive categories, but Oregon's defensive stats for categories such as total yards and points are skewed as Oregon usually scores in less than 2 minutes so the defense is on the field much longer than over 90% of all other teams.

I think Oregon leads the nation in takeaways, too.
