The big reveal also wasn't that Willie Lyles was on speed dial with the Oregon coaching staff, or that Chip Kelly sent him a goodie box filled with team-issued T-shirts and other swag, or even that the NCAA classified Lyles and his so-called scouting service an Oregon "booster" as early as 2008.

All that, and more, was included in a transparent dumping of documents. But if you're looking for the real news it's this: Oregon still refuses to take its medicine.

The Ducks may be cooperating, in theory, with the NCAA investigation. They may have hired Mike Glazier, a former NCAA enforcement lawyer turned defense wizard. Oregon may have mostly agreed with the NCAA investigators and admitted major infractions in six of the seven wrongdoings. But the Ducks remain stuck in a stubborn, arrogant posture that makes you believe they have learned absolutely nothing about why they're here in the first place.

I knew it was Canzano before I even clicked on the link. You should be ashamed of linking Canzano.

Ashamed!

Shame on you Portlanders for not running him out of town yet. I have never seen or heard of a single person that actually liked him. Same with Jaynes.

I've run into them. He must have good numbers or he wouldn't be on the air. If people would just ignore him, and stop reading or listening, he'd go away.

If you read the article, this is Canzano's way of saying he oversold the violations. His out is that Oregon should not fight the NCAA and instead offer to sanction themselves more than they feel is necessary.

LOL at Canzano and his high-pitched voice when he gets called out on-air. Then again, Isaac and Big Suck aren't much better. One would think that the local stations would support the Ducks, but in this market, they must get more listeners by being anti-Oregon. Ropp was even claiming that Oregon funneled cash to players yesterday, yet there is nothing in the 500+ pages that even insinuates that is the case.

Those idiots were all wrong, and they will all pay a price once Oregon loses a few scholarships without a bowl ban or vacated wins.

Sports radio in Portland has been horrible for over a decade. I stopped listening a long time ago. Any time I've caught some of Canzano's show, the only thing worse than the host are the people who call in. He seems to attract all the fans that know very little about the game, yet have tons of opinions.

I mostly listen to Money Matt Smith and Petros Papadakis when driving home. I happened to be in the car at 3pm yesterday, and listened to I-Suck and Big Suck. It amazed me how little they still know about the Lyles thing after three years now. It is true, I guess, that you can give an idiot a big forum in which to speak, and the idiot is taken seriously.

They play to the lowest common denominator. As much as our little community tends to argue with each other and trash each others opinions from time to time, the average poster on S2 is miles ahead of the bozos who call in to a show like Canzano.
