Ain't nothing like a little humor to start, or finish a day....hell anytime is fine....

"The greatest gift one can give is a portion of thyself" - Ralph Waldo Emerson

...ahhh, Emerson...a friend and contemporary of my favorite author, Thoreau.

...in fact, the land that Thoreau stayed on for 2 years which inspired "Walden" was owned by Emerson.

Touche 59.....Thoreau and Emerson were two great American Classic Minds....I too have enjoyed both men's work, since I was in High School.....

Didn't Thoreau take a canoe approximately 380 some miles thru the Maine Rivers and Wilderness....it doesn' get much better than those 2.....

Altho' I must confess, another of my favorite authors was Jack Kerouac, but then Jack is in my Family Tree, as a far distant relative.... 'Desolation Angels' is a Masterpiece as well....

But then there is not to many authors I didn't enjoy, Vonnegut, Orwell, Huxley, et al.
