...looks like a healthy Oden out there. WTF happened to his low motor?! That was supposed to be the one constant when translating college games to the NBA. Maybe we need to start reconsidering our evaluations of prospects?

People ignored that he played with some selfish and dysfunctional teammates. They questioned his motor by overanalyzing his statements/body language without analyzing the team's dynamics which I think is silly. On top of this, Drummond's game is structured towards the pros. In the NBA, he has all the tools to dominate and the teammates to give him support. So, it's not surprising to see him flourishing these past few games.

At the time, I was hoping we could've traded up to acquire him+Lillard or try to get Drummond+Lamb+free agent D-Will/Lowry.

But I mean, we'll see. It's just preseason. He hasn't played against a legit front court yet so we don't know how good or bad he actually is.

And he fouled out in only 25 mins. He'll face the same problems that Leonard will.

I'd rather have him than Leonard, but would you rather have him than Lillard?

Be happy that he went to the Pistons. They need a bit of good fortune after duds like Villenueva and Austin Daye.

(Note that he seemed to be doing most of his damage against Drew Gooden...)

It's about time the people of Detroit had something to give them a shred of happiness. Them people is livin' in Mad Max times.

I really liked Drummond in the draft, wanted him over Lillard because he has pretty much the same everything Dwight did and all the negatives he had Dwight also had. He has a lot of talent but could still easily be the next Kwame. After seeing Lillard i'm really glad we drafted him instead of what i wanted (Drummond/Marshall)

i figured he would start trying in the nba, people thought he should have started trying in college, but whatevz

Exactly. Team makeup has nothing to do with his lack of rebounding in college. 7+ per is weak for a man his size/strength. Rebounding is all about effort.

I thought he had a 2 point night a couple days ago? Ups and Downs.......

Nick Young is currently the leading scorer in the preseason.

He's joined in the top 5 by J.R. Smith and Corey Brewer.

The top 5 rebounders? Enes Kanter, Omer Asik, Cole Aldrich, David Lee, and Nazr Mohammed.

Preseason...

And..... A look at my watch tells me it's still preseason.

Not comparing the two, but does anyone have Hasheem Thabeet's preseason stats from his rookie year?

Felton's 3rd in assists! We should have kept him and taken Drummond.

In the two games against the Raps, he's looked really active and clearly has the physical tools. I'm really upset we didn't pick him. Ross is ok but Drummond seems like he has star potential.

Uhhh, wait til he plays somebody worth damn. I don't think he has the motor to be a great player. Maybe a solid, above average big in a Jamal Magloire kinda way.

No, no... we're jumping to conclusions over preseason games right now. Fall in line!
