I know this is not Blazers related, but I'm a big Beaver football fan! I just love watching that kid run with the ball.

The Rodgers brothers are by far our best players. Quizz is a baller, only it sucks he is so small he most likely couldn't make it in the NFL

Maybe not, but the good thing is that it probably means he'll be at OSU all 4 years! :ghoti:

When I first saw him run, I was amazed at how fast he shuffles his feet and how strong he is. The guy is the real deal and I'm excited for what he'll be like in two years from now, let alone right now.

I was at the Penn State game and they were a different team than against USC. How about a rematch at the Rose Bowl:ohno:

Barry Sanders was pretty small though, wasn't he? Quizz is just a freshman, he's going to get stronger. I think he's got a good chance as a Pro.

Quizz is like 5'6 180, Sanders was 5'8 203.

I just can't see quizz making it with his stature. I'd like to be wrong though.

Being a guy that has actually seen him in person, I highly doubt he is 195 pounds. And he barely even looks 5'6.

I don't think looking at his OSU bio means much, it's not like they don't increase the height/weights of players from time to time

I don't know how big he is exactly, but I do know he's a strong SOB. He was punishing the ASU tacklers tonight.

I never miss a Quizz Show/Beaver game!!!!

Go Beavs!

Did anyone catch the Duck game? HCP? :)

Ahaha when that ASU guy tried to solo tackle him in the 4th after the big block by James and he just knocked him back I almost died laughing.

i never miss a quizz show, thats unacceptable. i hope lyle can play next week, i'm not comfortable with canfield in there

Since the Beavs beat USC, it appears that they might have a legit chance to win the PAC-10. Is that a reasonable assumption?

They have a great shot to win the Pac-10, I think... w/ the tiebreaker over USC... just gotta hope they are top 12 in the BCS ratings or a mid-major can make the Rose Bowl in their place (if that Mid Major team is in the top 12)

I'm rooting for them to make the BCS.. I think they are a top 15 team right now no question. Gotta rep our state.

That's not how it works. The Pac-10 champion is in the Rose Bowl automatically, unless they are in the national championship. End of story.

If we win the Pac-10, it doesn't matter what our BCS ranking is.

UCLA is a big game next weekend, but I think the "trap" game left on our schedule is @ Arizona. That one scares me. Actually ALL of the remaining games are going to be very exciting and potentially close. @UCLA, Cal, @Arizona, and Oregon are going to mean that I need to keep the walls padded so I don't break anything. I'll be going to the Civil War game so it would be a dream come true if it were for the Rose Bowl.

I'm going to the Cal game and I personally think that is the toughest game left on our schedule.

I think Cal is probably the best team left on the schedule. Fortunately it's in Corvallis.

Question, is wrong to like both the Ducks and the Beavers? I'm a long time ducks fan, but i've watched all the beav's games this year and I have to admit, they are fun team to watch. I really hope the beav's run the table and get to the rose bowl.

BCSfootball.com said:
1. The top two teams in the final BCS Standings shall play in the National Championship Game.

2. The champions of the ACC, Big East, Big Ten, Big 12, Pac-10, and Southeastern conferences will have automatic berths in one of the participating bowls after the 2006 and 2007 regular seasons.

3. The champion of Conference USA, the Mid-American Conference, the Mountain West Conference, the Sun Belt Conference, or the Western Athletic Conference will earn an automatic berth in a BCS bowl game if either:

A. Such team is ranked in the top 12 of the final BCS Standings, or,
B. Such team is ranked in the top 16 of the final BCS Standings and its ranking in the final BCS Standings is higher than that of a champion of a conference that has an annual automatic berth in one of the BCS bowls.

Am I just reading it wrong? That is possible. I looked this up a couple weeks ago when i saw a sign that said "Boise State to the Rose Bowl" and wanted to see how mid-majors get in there.

If OSU wins out, they should be in the top 16... there would really be no excuse not to put them there... they lose to Penn State and Utah... two top 10 teams and have win vs. USC and if they win out will have wins over Cal, Arizona and Oregon.... not bad.

Did anyone watch the Cal/Oregon game? Cal is terrible, OSU should rollllllll them over.
OSU needs to watch out for their road games UCLA and UA since they don't play as well away from the friendly confines of Corvallis, Oregon.

Boise State could get an automatic BCS bid, that doesn't mean they go to the rose bowl that just means they would be one of the 10 BCS teams.

If OSU wins out they go to the Rose Bowl; it doesn't matter if they are ranked 143rd.

...Arizona stomped Cal in the desert and to me, that is the hardest game on the schedule [we have played well against Cal over the years and play them at Reser, the same stadium the Beavers upset USC in and traditionally play really well in to finish the season(s)]

Oregon killed Arizona State though, and We had a problem with them. It goes both ways

Yes, I think you are.

"The champions of the ACC, Big East, Big Ten, Big 12, Pac-10, and Southeastern conferences will have automatic berths in one of the participating bowls."

Pac-10 champion goes to the Rose Bowl.

Boise State COULD end up in the Rose Bowl...if USC won the Pac-10 and got into he national championship game. Then the Rose Bowl gets to pick an at large. They COULD take a Pac-10 team or an at large team like BSU. It's their choice. (last year, the Rose Bowl picked Big 10 2nd place Illinois over an undefeated Hawaii team though...Pac-10 LOVES their traditional Pac10/Big10 match ups.)

But if OSU wins the Pac-10...they're in the Rose Bowl, no questions asked. As Draco's Evil Sidekick says...doesn't matter if they're 143rd ranked.

For BSU...Fiesta Bowl or Sugar Bowl are much more likely than the Rose Bowl.

How many here would go to Pasadena if the Beavs make it to the Rose Bowl?
