Golf Versus Baseball Humor:

http://www.baseball-almanac.com/humor8.shtml

My own personal take with Golf versus Baseball, has always been: Baseball is better than Golf. In golf one hit’s the ball, then has to chase after it. In Baseball one hit’s the ball, and lets others chase after the ball.

I always had the worst slice in the world, when teeing off. My very first golf game, found myself, visiting 3 different greens of the wrong holes, before I got the golf ball on the right green and hole #1^^..

It was a long day. One I would repeat a few more times, before I gave up, (even took a couple lessons), but couldn’t get the baseball hitter mentality out of my drives. Closed stance, open stance, close the shoulder, open the shoulders, turn the wrists over, don’t turn them over, inside out the ball, outside in the ball, get the arms extended, bend the elbows, don’t extend the arms, et al.

Speaking of golf I'm reminded of the Dean Martin celebrity roast of Bob Hope. Where Flip Wilson said of the Bob Hope dessert classic. " Well Bob, I'd tell you what my handicap is but you already told me when I tried to join your club".

Flip was a King in his time....got to laugh out loud on that one...touche-Rick...!!

The pitcher was so bad, that when the manager came out to pull him,he was also carrying his (pitcher's) luggage.

You know I've never heard ANYONE say that they enjoyed watching golf. I can't think of a more boring sport. Hell, I'd rather watch bowling.

watch or play... I'd rather watch curling... hell, even tennis is more exciting (not by much)

How close are you sitting to your TV????

I meant watching it live from the stands. I had a friend drag me to a match once many years back. over 2 hours of my head going back & forth. Real exciting. Like watching paint dry.

The Infamous Legend Lakers game caller-Chick Hearn, had a day time job, hosting 'Bowling For Dollars'-does anyone recall that horrific syndicated TV show, pitful, yet with a true Legend...."a visit to the popcorn machine"......(chicks patented call for a blown slam dunk by those legendary Laker Teams, more-so a call reserved for their nemeisis....Jabbar, Magic, Worthy, Coop a Loop, Rambis......prior, West, Baylor, Chamberlain and many other greats......
