off the bench for Cleveland? Huh?!?! Jamison would start at PF.

he would be a lethal scoring threat off the bench for Cleveland in an anticipated conference final against the defending champion Boston Celtics.

Other talks that emerged Tuesday included interest from the Portland Trail Blazers in acquiring small forward Gerald Wallace from the Charlotte Bobcats. The Blazers would package the expiring $12.7 million salary of Raef LaFrentz, and a third team could be involved. Mark this as another sign that the Blazers are investigating all opportunities.

Also, there has been renewed interest around the league in acquiring Richard Jefferson from the Milwaukee Bucks, who may be forced to unload salary to avoid the luxury tax. Several teams have shown interest, though the Trail Blazers appear to have dropped out of the bidding.

This the part that caught my eye

Man KP must be running some serious misinformation campaign; you've got The Game saying the Wallace talks are dead, contradicted by Thomsen here, and then Jefferson is apparently off the table.

Thursday can't get here soon enough.

I wouldn't expect a Wallace trade to happen until he's played his game tonight. Until then, I'd chalk up anything I heard that purports to come from the Portland end of things as disinformation.

Wallace playing tonight will not affect his trade value to Portland. Pritchard has said countless times that a trade will be done for the future of the team not for a playoff push this year. Even if Wallace is not 100% for the rest of the year, he would help us in the long run.

I believe Pritchard's point was that he wouldn't sacrifice the future for a playoff push this year. Being part of a playoff push this year, without hurting the future, would certainly be increased value. If that value doesn't exist, it changes the total value of Wallace. Perhaps not enough to deter Pritchard, but it would still be a consideration in how much he'd pay.

There is another thread going where we are already discussing the "Wallace playing tonight" issue.
