OT: Court Decision on Giants Fan- Beaten in Chavez Ravine.....

The Giants Fan, beaten by 2 gang bangers in L.A.'s Chavez Ravine, was awarded 18 million $$$. (reported in an Article in yesterday's L.A. Times).

The Team/Org's Security. was held accountable, paying out the majority of the award. The Felony Attackers, broke poor POS, also identified, found guilty had their day in court, but don't have a pot to piss in.

Had it not of been for suing the Bums Security, the Victim would of been despondent. Of course the Bums were liable, (side note-McCourt not personally, he never is guilty of shit)....

The victim has permanent brain damage, and probably will never be able to work again. Keep in mind his young son was with him and witnessed the whole affair. The kid should get medical/psych help the rest of his life, if not his own payday....Gang Bangers need to be used for Pinatas......!

Exactly, way to many Fans, and not enough Security. Even beefing up Security this was a inevitable occurrence waiting to happen. Old L.A. Raiders Games, had more Security than any Pro-Sport event I've been to other than the 84 Olympics. Not only in house hired Security, but hundreds of additional LAPD, & LA Co. Sheriff Deputies, it was inevitable even if the National Guard was deployed for Raiders Games, a riot, or fight of 20+ peeps, was going to happen regardless. Their Coliseum location spelled as much, right on the border line mine field of turf b/t the Crypts and Bloods. Same Coliseum built to accommodate Olympics....right smack dab in one of the worst areas of Lost Angels-es...!

Did you ever play "Slug Bug" when you were a kid??? In L.A. (No shit), when we were commuting to work, we did a version of slug bug, only with cars with bullet holes in them. Alot more than I ever expected.

IMO, the Victim's Lawyer, knew the Bums would dish out bucks, just to keep their name/PR intact.....didn't surprise me, even as McCourt was not held liable, (with the present day mentality usually spelling guilt for the CEO of any Company, or- they are usually found liable for every incident that happens below them, even if its really not their area of responsibility to know if the shitters, are cleaned on every hour, or if Hot Dog sales are up or down. To some degree it is, tho' that kinda grunt work personal responsibility is always delegated to another Admin of a lower level...that's what others are hired for....

But as said, not even Security could of contained this incident or prevented it. Arson Fires are bound to break out, regardless of the Park Service trying to ensure no campers in the forest are carrying a match...!
