Deron Williams suffered a bruised thigh in a collision with Greg Oden Saturday and will miss tonight's game against Charlotte.

Wow, first Boozer, then Kirilenko and now Williams. The Jazz have been hit exceptionally hard by injuries to their best players this season.

Tonights a huge night for us...

Williams is out for the jazz...maybe the bobcats can pull one out.

Mavs are playing in orlando

if we win...and they both lose.. finally pulling away...and a win on wed will give us distance.

heres our chance to gurantee playoffs

Poor Jazz. This could be the beginning of the end for this year. If Deron is out for extended time they will really struggle to keep pace with Dallas etc.

so we should feel bad for utah?????

r u kidding me?

FWIW-I was at the game sitting around a lot of Jazz fans (there was fun bantering going on back and forth). The Oden "hit" on Williams happened on the far side of the court, but most fans were concerned with the hit. They were concerned with Willimas but didn't think it was cheap by Oden. Most thought he was slow footed and that is why he gets fouls (they were wondering why every team doesn't jsut draw the instant foul on Oden . . . I didn't feel like explaining he is improving, they wouldn't have listened).

Anyways this is along was of saying the passionate Jazz fans around me didn't feel like it was a cheap shot by Oden but instead they thought it looked more like Willimas ran into a walll because we saw Willimas bounce offOden, but didn't see Oden move much at all.
