OT- Flynn to NYK for Toney Douglas

Douglas just had shoulder surgery and is a classic tweener. Dumb trade for Minnesota. Only Kahn [/facepalm]

Douglas is a volume scorer who can be dynamic. But, he is a tweener. Instant offense for Minny and they get to develop Rubio. I dont think its bad either way.

I noticed that Rudy and Douglas make the same salary. Both 2 million less than Flynn. I would make the offer if I were the Blazers.

I would love to see what Flynn could do outside of the retarded "Rambis" triangle.

Flynn for Rudy + 2nd rounder + $ might get a deal done. He's better than any PG on our bench currently. I'd really like to see Armon Johnson cut from this roster since he's probably the worst PG the Blazers have has since Eric Barkley.

Randolph Childress anyone?

Armon Johnson has a ton of talent. I can't wait to see him develop as an NBA player.

I have to respectfully disagree about AJ. He's a terrible decision maker, mediocre shooter and can only finish with one hand. You can find a dozen guys int he D League as good as him IMHO.

I see your Erick Barkley and I raise you one Taurean Greene.

I'm definitely on the AJ bandwagon. I think he'll be a Very good Point-Guard in the league, his quickness creates havoc for the opposing defense and on the other end of the floor he is a very good defender. I see a little of Rajon Rondo in him, probably a poor-man's Rondo but not that poor. I may be wrong but I think we'd regret it if we just let him go. I think next year should be a big breakout season for him.

I really don't see it. The guy needs a lot of work before he'll be a productive member of a winning team.

I don't see it, either. He's not quick enough and--in spite of his good numbers last year--I'm not convinced he's a good shooter.

He was/is a good second round prospect, I think, but there's no reason to hesitate kicking him to the curb if we can get someone better, younger, and/or with better tools.

I think he's just another example of the fanbase falling in love with someone who has "potential".

You might be right. I think that a lot of fans like the idea of a PG that:

1. Really works hard on defense
2. Has good size
3. Isn't shoot-first

I like those things, too. I just don't think that he has enough of the rest of the game to be a starting-level PG.

In other words, they want Terry Porter.
