According to the NBA podcast, it was confirmed that the Grizz rejected a trade of Gay, Conley and Warrick for Amare. I just don't get it. sure, gay is a good player but Mayo and Amare could be an awesome duo.

On another note, it does show about how much the Suns are looking to get for gay. I don't think this is a ton, and I could certainly see the Blazers being able to play the third team in an Amare trade or even obtain Amare for themselves without having to give up LMA, Roy or Oden

I think the main thing here is that Memphis would be taking back more salary, allowing Phoenix to get under the luxury tax yes?

Don't forget that Darius Miles would step right in and be an upgrade over Gay.

I think the Grizzlies were worried they couldn't re-sign Amare.

Probably because there's no chance in hell Amare would stay in Memphis, lol.

That franchise has young talent yet they still have no future.

yet we will get gay for rlec lol or sergio and outlaw.

amazing what people buy...yet i get killed when i suggest butler

They were afraid Amare would get disgruntled when Darius overplays him for the starting PF spot.

I'm guessing that Chris Wallace thinks he'll attract Amare to Memphis with that cap space and doesn't need to trade for him.

The Grizz would be best off acquiring young players still on rookie contracts. Less risk of losing players to free agency.

Memphis, Golden State, Washington, and The Pacers are teams careers end in! That said the KISS OF DEATH IS STILL THE CLIPPERS!!!
