Refs totally handed that game to the Nuggets. A series of horrible calls go against the Warriors in the final 3 seconds gives the win to the Nuggets.

How can you not think about Donaghy every time you see a horrible call at the end of a game. Refs like Tom Washington are embarrassing.

JR Smith hits free throws. Bayless doesn't. And the chance for a division lead is blown.

At the same time, why were we even having to hit them. That call of a foul on Roy near the end of the Blazer game was the biggest bunch of fucking horseshit I have seen over the years.

especially followed by the no-call on Webs.

Dang, it's too bad the season ended today. Shucks guys.

There are some of us that believe the Blazers' wave is about to crest. The chance to be leading the division and be in the playoff hunt will soon come to an end. And it appears as though with this set of bad officiating the ride is over.

The wave has crested and it's simply a matter of time before the conversation goes from playoff seeding to draft. So as far as I'm concerned, the season did end today. And it's distressing to me that it's due, in large part, to bad officiating.

Well then. I guess there's no reason for you to post. See you next season!

refs have to much control over the game. Im still pissed about last night.

The Roy play was, although BS, possibly debateable. However, the failure to call the foul on Martell's final shot, when he was obviously fouled, was pure theft. That ref owes the Blazers a victory and every fan there a refund.

I know bad calls are a part of the game, but it sure feels like the Blazers get more than their fair share of bad calls.

1. Refs fail to give Maggette the timeout, and choose to call a jumpball instead.

2. Refs fail to notice that Smith is in the backcourt when Karl is awarded a timeout.

3. Ellis did NOT get him with the body. Any of that contact was incidental as a result of Smith flailing his body around, and even then, the contact came well after the shot was released.

Brutal for GS. I'm surprised their fans (on GSOM or realgm) haven't raised much stink about it.

(I can admit that our announcers are biased, but these morons take it to a whole new level.)

Don't be ridiculous.

I've got at least another two weeks of complaining about how the refs screwed us out of the division lead. Then we can get serious about trade deadline rumors and draft position.

Check out Warriors World. They were not happy. However, they also blame Ellis for being close enough to Smith to call a foul.

Very accurate summary. I watched the end of the game live and couldn't believe that the refs made 3 bad calls in 3 seconds - all of them against the Warriors. The countless replays after the game only cornfirmed that the refs blew each and every one of those calls.

What is there not to believe? Back about 10 years ago, there is no way you would have seen calls at the end of games, period. There was a point to letting the players decide who was going to win, and making sure the refs didn't. Now it seems to have reversed. I have seen a lot of games lately where the refs are deciding the game, and not the players. It wouldn't be so bad if the calls weren't bad. But they are.

Agreed. Unless the call is blatantly obvious, it's better to swallow the whistle. In such cases, a non-call is better than a wrong call.

The call on Roy was a good one in my mind... as much as it hurt. Roy's fault for trying to hold the ball and look away. The poke away was clean and Roy grabbed him as he was going for the ball. Good call.

If that was a good call, then the no-call on Webster's next attempt was even more egregious. No way to spin it - we got screwed.

I will give you that Webster was fouled more than JR Smith was. There was no question there was contact there... but they let the after the shot leaves the hand contact go sometimes.

Listen to this idiot:

The PBP guy is Chris Marlowe and the color guy is Scott Hastings. I have to listen to them bitch and moan any time I choose to watch the Thuggets. They're both fucking useless. If you think MB is in the tank, Marlowe makes him sound like Snapper Jones.

Listen to this idiot:
Wow. There's no carry. I can only guess the announcer didn't notice he changed hands dribbling. And you can't travel if you don't have posession. Whatever.
