don't start his car.

ESPN said:
There's nothing lost in translation about how Brooklyn Nets owner Mikhail Prokhorov feels concerning the team's split with former coach Jason Kidd over the summer.

"I think there is a nice proverb in English: Don't let the door hit you where the good Lord has split you," Prokhorov said before the Nets' home opener against Oklahoma City at Barclays Center on Monday, a 116-85 win. "So I think that each side, we did what we thought was the best and I like what we have now.

"I think our structure is optimal. We have a very strong experienced coach and a very strong GM (in) Billy King."
When Prokhorov was later asked if he is disappointed in how things ended with Kidd after hiring him with no previous coaching experience, the Russian owner said, "I think we shouldn't get mad. I think we should get even. And we will see it on the court."

First, I was saying this in my head in an Ivan Drago accent. Second, I'm pretty sure that when Russian multibillionaire mobst--oligarchs say "well get even", you may want to have people taste your food and start your car.

Damn, how crazy would that be if Kidd actually got taken out? In some dark Polish restaurant in Milwaukee.
