Why didn't he take Tyreke Evans?

It's obvious to all that Westbrook is a "combo" guard, so who better to pair him with than a big, scoring combo guard? They both can play point or off the ball.

Of course, Harden is a very good player. But Evans is looking better, and fills more of a need. But maybe there's a law against criticizing Presti.

Because with Westbrook, Durant, and Green, they have a lot of scoring. As well as cap space to acquire a big man qho can score, if thewy can lure one there(Bosh, Amare). Harden seems more like a do-it-all who can fit in better alongside Durant than Evans would, to me.

Yeah that one is a fucking head scratcher right there. That team is set with Gasol, and Thabeet will probably be OK, but where does he play?

LeBron James couldn't hit an outside shot when he was drafted. Doesn't mean you don't take him.

Interesting that we've had two reasons for selecting Harden:
1. He can shoot.
2. He won't shoot as much.

I think actually that it looks its worst right now, when Jennings et. al. are putting up big rookie numbers and Thabeet's hardly playing, but will look better and better. Thabeet's obviously finding his feet and is a real defensive force. The people who laugh about that pick are the ones that think Durant over Oden is obviously the better choice (even without the fractured patella).

i made this point earlier, prestis drafting has been meh.

green over noah/hawes/thad young, most mocks had him anywhere from 8-12 not to mention he is a sf along with durant. and he traded ray allen for him.
westbrook over love/lopez/thompson when they needed a big.
harden over evans/jennings who might have been better fits.

hes passed over alot of bigs, and thats what they need.

its pretty easy to add talent with a top 3 pick EVERY year.

that said, he rules in trades generally.
