BATON ROUGE - Police investigating a fight outside a Baton Rouge bar last night said LSU quarterback Jordan Jefferson and other LSU football players are believed to have been involved in the disturbance.

EMS responded to a call at the location on East Boyd Ave. around 2 a.m., but didn't transport anyone to the hospital.

Sgt. Don Stone with Baton Rouge Police said Jefferson was implicated in the altercation, and witness statements implicated other football players as well. Jefferson was not arrested, and Stone said they are still investigating.

I kinda dont want Jefferson suspended, I made my bet with Tlong based on the premise that JEfferson was good for a fumble and two INT's :sigh:

Hopefully he isn't suspended. We need that guy to start. He's as shaky as they come.

Wasn't Canzano saying Thomas needs to be more of a leader like Jefferson?

I don't read Can much, if at all. Some reliable posters on other boards are saying that Can commented that DT needs to be more of a leader and model someone like Jefferson. Didn't hear it with my own ears, but believe it's likely. LOL.

It's the SEC. Nothing's going to happen to those kids.

every once in a while they suspend for stupid Sh*t like "My QB is suspended for every 4th down in the red zone that we dont go for it for the first Qtr"

That was crazy reading that thread. I have never been on other forums besides this one. They crack on each other like we do! I wonder who the LSU version of THE HCP is? I have to meet this Bazarro World Baller!

Jefferson to serve a one game suspension. NOT against Oregon.

I would say not even close....... BUT I have no hair and was born in '72! Damn you!

thats kinda bs, oregon suspended cliffy for the lsu game right?

WAFB channel 9 in Baton Rouge is reporting they have several self-proclaimed eye witnesses that say Jefferson was involved in the altercation and actually kicked a Marine in the head who was lying on the ground. It is said the Marine was trying to help a friend who had been pulled from his truck and was being beaten by a group of people.

Here is the video from their report tonight.

23 players broke curfew and went out drinking, Coach says that they're real remorseful so he's going to wait to decide if they get punished.

LOL!

From the twitters reports are that those involved will be arrested Monday.

holy crap thats disgusting! Forget this little upcoming football game I've been so eagerly anticipating, if that report is true and those witnesses are saying those things to the police, Jefferson is looking at time. Football is entertainment to me, this sounds like criminal assault.

The SEC is about winning. They could care less about things like integrity...

I have to think Jefferson will play against Oregon. We suspend our #1 player for his own good and to make him a better person. SEC teams don't give a crap.

one of the few things the South likes as much as football is the military. Kicking a good samaritan marine in the head after he's been attacked by several others (if true and testified to) will be taken seriously. Thats some serious shit

Although I agree with you on that point, they still wouldn't dare suspend him for an important game. If they do, it will for either a half against St. Mary's Womens School For The Blind or something like that.
