Odom's agent confirmed his whereabouts

“There have been a lot of rumors flying around about Lamar lately, so I just want to make it perfectly clear that he hasn’t gone missing; he just hasn’t been seen recently because he’s smoking crack in a crack house,” said Odom’s agent Jeff Schwartz, clarifying that the two-time NBA champion has, since his supposed disappearance, been spending time in a burned-out apartment building in Los Angeles’ Inglewood neighborhood, which Schwartz described as “Lamar’s favorite crack house.”

That just supports my point. He never played to his potential because he's a shithead but he did have times where he dominated both ends of the floor. The guy could handle the ball and be a point forward, pretty rare talent IMO.
 
If they haven't already, his friends need to reach out to him. Sounds like he's in a volatile situation now.

I'm sure he's far away from this. I don't see that happening. He's certainly at rock bottom though and there's no way to go but up IMO.
I feel for the guy. He's had a LOT of adversity in his life.

NBA veteran Lamar Odom was arrested early Friday on suspicion of driving under the influence, according to police.

Odom was taken into custody at 3:54 a.m. local time after a California Highway Patrol officer saw his white Mercedes-Benz traveling erratically on a San Fernando Valley Freeway. The CHP report said Odom's car was observed traveling in a "serpentine manner" before he pulled off the freeway.

The police report stated that Odom continued to drive when authorities tried to pull him over before he eventually stopped. Odom showed "objective signs of intoxication and was unable to perform field sobriety tests as explained and demonstrated," the CHP report said. At the Van Nuys jail, Odom refused all chemical tests and was booked for investigation of driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs at 5:01 a.m., CHP officials said.

He was jailed on $15,000 bail and released Friday morning.

Seemed like an obvious alcoholic, with all of the candy and stuff that he ate during the season. I'm guessing for many seasons, he didn't drink while playing.
 
I assume you cubs remember why the Clippers traded him to Miami. I think he was a light smoker, but they were spooked by his overstated college reputation.
