From the Ford chat:

SportsNation Chad Ford: Hold on for a second, have to take this call

Derek from Detroit: IS IT THE KNICKS MAKING A DEAL????????????

SportsNation Chad Ford: Yes. Bulls and Knicks have agreed to a trade. Larry Hughes for Tim Thomas and Jerome James. I'm told it's waiting for league approval.

Anyone have any comments on this one? :)

Doesn't hurt the Knicks' 2010 room, makes Krypto-Nate a bit more expendable.

Thomas and James are expirings this year, iirc...CHI gets 12M in salary savings next year and someone to play a bit of PF for them, by reducing a bit of logjam at PG/SG.

EDIT: I didn't Recall Correctly. Thomas and James (PO) are both under contract for next year.

Didn't the Bulls bench Tim Thomas for an entire season for insubordination?

If you can't play for D'Antoni, you can't play for anybody.

Shit for shit.

That pretty much sums it up. All three expire in summer of 2010 and D'Antoni gets another guard to throw out there to jack up 3s, while getting rid of a fat waste of Jerome James.

"Hold on for a second, have to take this call"

What a cock.

Wasn't Tim Thomas traded for Larry Hughes before? I think Philly and NJ did the trades. Now they are traded for each other again?

Larry is a great fit for the Knicks. He is a volume shooter who is not nearly as good a player as he thinks he is.

Bad trade for knicks. Hughes is garbage
