Denver is losing by 20+ in the 3rd quarter to the Nets.

Who wants to help the Nuggets fans plan their Draft Party b/c they're clearly a mess and will miss the playoffs.

Rockets getting abused by Twolves at home.

We have a playoff watch thread though you know.

But that game is still in the early 2nd.

If Houston loses this game, their season is over as well.

All teams get their asses kicked from time to time. But the Blazers recent defensive woes aren't any sort of anomaly that you can just chalk up to "having an off game."

Of course.

Every other team can be down 34 points to the Nets in the 3rd like Denver is right now - but every Portland loss is the end of the world. Makes perfect sense to me.

114-70!!! 44 point loss.

Trade everybody! Waive Billups. Fire Karl.

Burn the franchise to the ground!

Come on, Niko. I can't spread my doom and gloom if you guys don't take my shit seriously.

Nuggets are in serious trouble.

Hehe, nah you're all good. You're like the sarcastic anti-troll. I do love it however when people can't tell if you are being serious or not ... that ought to tell you the quality of some of the posts and threads around here

Well, the Nuggets got HAMMERED (by a decent team), and the Hawks lost to the Clippers. So while it sucks we lost, at least we didn't lose too much ground on teams. Although it'd be nice if we would gain distance between us and other teams.

We are now tied for 4th and Dallas is .5 games behind.

At this rate, I'd say only two or three teams are going to make the playoffs, tops.

It will be a very lonely postseason this year.

I almost went to e-slaughter yenniedn, before I figured out he was mocking MIXUM.

I was thinking this same thing when I watched the Denver game today; I wonder if their fan base is saying their playoff chances are over, their coach should get fired, and one of their top players needs to get traded?

I wonder when the negative Blazer fans read a thread like this, they realize how stupid they probably sound when they freak out after every loss by the youngest teams in the NBA who is in 4th place in the Western Conference.

Thanks for the kind words, Niko - means a lot coming from one of the people whose input and opinions I respect most around here.

Judging from how adamantly they argue their stance, I'm positive that those guilty of this don't have any clue.

the "stupid fans" are the one swho think we are ok. that we dont need a deal. denvers loss was just an off night. they dont need to worry. we have M A J O R defensive problems

Yeah, you're right. This team is only one Ime Udoka away from winning it all this year. KP's an idiot.

I wouldn't say they're an "Ime" away from winning it all -- this team still has lots of development and growing pains to go through before we can say that, but a guy like Ime, Battier, Posey, etc. would give this team a defensive leader. Right now they've got Brandon to sort of be the face of the franchise and the undisputed overall "leader", but this team is in dire need of somebody who can play hard nosed lock down defense and act sort of like a player-coach at that end of the floor.

Team's this young can't usually rely solely on their coach acting as their de facto veteran presence, sometimes you need a guy on the floor to not only say, "This is how it's done." but you also need that guy who sets the tone with his actions ... toughness and nastiness in athletics have a funny way of being contagious.

Damn, there's a way to argue a point and give your opinion without calling most of the people here stupid. No wonder no one likes you.
You've got points sometimes, but the way you convey them is just ridiculous.

Tonight:

Houston loses to Milwaukie.

Suns lose to Sixers.

New Orleans loses to Memphis without Gay.

Rockets, Suns and Hornets all going to the LOTTO too!!! The sky is falling all over the country!!!
