It is rumored Marbury has a verbal committment from Boston if he can gain his release. This would officially place Boston as my most hated team, period. They are already pretty close right now, but this would seal the deal. The last thing I ever want to see, is that guy get a ring. Ever.

Hate all you want, we're the best team in the world at the moment. ;)

I'll give you something to taste. Stick out your tongue and wait for your surprise. :tsktsk:

Does anybody else think this seems a little like when Gary Payton went to the Lakers?

Do they really want the ball out of the hands of Pierce/Allen/Garnett/Rondo?

He'll spend most of his time with the second unit.

Well at least we know Marbury will be well rested ... or is that well rusted? Can't remember.

The wink at the end means you know you are lying right? Theres some team with the best record in the league AND have already beaten the lowly Celts this year....gee, who could that be

Cleveland?

West = JV

until he throws a temper tantrum and says he should be the centerpiece of the team.
I don't think that's going to happen. Marbury knows that he could be canned at any time. I think his behavior will improve drastically. If we hear from him at all, it'll probably just be trash talk toward the Knicks.

Then he gets cut.

I figured as much too. I didn't mean it in a "he'll go there and ruin the season" kind of way...just that he's bound to complain sooner or later.

Never, ever, underestimate the stupidity of Stephon Marbury.

Cleveland?

West = JV

East top 8 combined record against the west: 91-54 (.627)
West top 8 combined record against the east: 87-49 (.640)

We get it... East scrubs beat west scrubs. Unfortunately for you, East Playoff teams lose more to West teams.

Not sure that makes the West JV.

Is that the team that lost by 40+ points in the finals to the Celts? :ghoti:

They became my most hated team earlier this year, so this Marbury thing is just overkill. It would be like Hitler kicking a puppy.

A source close to the situation has said there has been absolutely no verbal commitment between the Celtics [team stats] and disgruntled New York Knicks guard Stephon Marbury.

The source went on to say the two sides have spoken (the Knicks gave Marbury permission to talk with other clubs), and that the Celts would definitely like to add him under the right circumstances. However, the club is not prepared to give him major playing time.
