Ouch.

OJ Mayo has been suspended by the NBA for ten games for violating NBA drug policy. Mayo tested positive for DHEA.

FWIW
:
DHEA supplements are sometimes used as muscle-building or performance-enhancing drugs by athletes. However, a randomized placebo-controlled trial found that DHEA supplementation had no (statistically significant) effect on lean body mass, strength, or testosterone levels.[21]

So let me get this straight: OJ Mayo got suspended 10 games by the league for testing positive to a substance that has no known positive, or negative, affect? Interesting.

Oh, yeah...Where can I buy me some of that DHEA stuff?

I heard Michael Beasley got suspended for eating a poppyseed muffin.

How bad does this hurt the grizz playoff chances? That's what I care about. I'd say he's the only bench weapon they have so it hurts quite a bit.

Their bench is amazingly worse then ours now. That's no easy accomplishment! You gotta be thin to be worse then blazer bench!

Lmao... Freeman just tweeted mayo being out helps blazer playoff chances!

I think that the drugs failed to enhance his performance. He should demand his money back.

Ed O.

He should sue the company for 10 games of lost wages. On second thought, the company probably isn't worth that much.

DHEA became famous in the late 70s and got lots of publicity in the mainstream, nonsports media. It is legal. There is no reason to ban it. Stern is a dictator.

This doesn't surprise me. He cheated in college, why not in the NBA?

DHEA is supposedly a masking agent for more serious PED's.

Maybe OJ was just prepping for his operation?
Because DHEA must first be converted to androstenedione and then to testosterone in men, it has two chances to aromatize into estrogen - estrone from androstenedione, and estradiol from testosterone. As such, it is possible that supplementation with DHEA could increase estrogen levels more than testosterone levels in men.
Not that there's anything wrong with that.
