OT:Miami Signs Charlie Bell to an offer sheet

after signing with the Phoenix Suns as an undrafted free agent on July 23, 2001.
In addition to playing for the Suns and Bucks, he also saw action with the
Dallas Mavericks during the 2001-02 season. For his career he has averaged 10.9
points, 2.6 assists, 2.5 rebounds and 28.2 minutes while shooting 43.7 percent
from the floor and 75.7 percent from the foul line.</div>

The deal is a bargain, so they have to match.</p>

They can easily trade him if he refuses to play for them.</p>

yeah the bucks should match it right away, if not then good pickup for miami. i am still shocked that Bell was on the market this long, i know the bucks can match so that has be a reason for him being on the market but he is a nice player who i thought teams would try to pick up quickly when free agency started </p>

For my fantasy team's sake I hope Bell goes to Miami as I want Mo Williams to play as much as his body will allow but for a real-life basketball standpoint if he goes to Miami it'll be pretty huge for them and worse for us therefor I want Milwaukee to match quite badly. </p>

Bell's a guy who helps any team he's on and I nearly spit my drink out my nose from the absurdity of one article I saw on HoopsHype about the "glut" of guards they have. There is no Glut. Bell would immeditaely become the best guard not named Wade on that squad and make a very very dangerous backcourt combination that we would have no answer for.</p>

If I was the Bucks, I will let Miami sign Bell, he had a break out season mainly because of Bobby Simons going down. Look at Bell's stats he avergaged 8.4 pts with 21 mins of play and 13.5 pts with 34.7 mins.With Miami, I doubt Bell will see more that 15 mins of game time especially with Wade averaging 37.6 mins

even if bell would end up in miami i am not sure of what to make of the team. they obviously have one of the top players in wade, but hes coming off an injury.. they have an older shaq who unlike kidd does not maintain the same level of play throughout the year and they have lost guys like posey,kapono,jones and have gained hardaway,smush and alexander johnson that i can recall. those additions do not scare me at all nor do i think they upgraded themselves. williams missed like 20games or so last year, antoine walker will get more playing time and other teams have improved their team, at least on paper (which we know means nothing once the season starts). bell will help, but overall i think miami took a step back an this could be the last year shaq has in him. who even knows how many games shaq will play in.

</p> ummm....Wade and Bell are both combo guards. i don't see why they wouldn't be playing together, since they can both bring the ball up the court and run the team pretty well. they should both get more minutes than any other guard on the team, since they are significantly better (especially in Wade's case).

Bell gives the Heat a little more versatility, there's a 3 guard combo in Wade-Williams-Bell. You have Wright, Walker, Haslem up front. Shaq, Mourning in the paint.As always they are dependent on health, Wade-Williams-Shaq. They will be perimeter shooting challenged without Kapono. </p>

They played it exactly like they should have with Bell, and they handled Yi's holdout very well.</p>

Figure on Bogut 32 minutes, V 32 minutes, that leaves 32 minutes for the 3rd big on the roster. Plenty of time. Question is, Is Yi an NBA player this year?</p>

you're forgetting about Bobby Simmons. He'll be extremely important, as well as Desmond Mason. I think if Simmons was healthy, they mighta had a chance at the playoffs.</p>
