I apologize for posting a NBA historical post here, I know it should be on a NBA board, but I don't frequent the NBA.
This tidbit is interesting tho' of an athelete who more than dominated the game in his era, but for all history, most probably, at least he's far from being threatened when it comes to his astounding records:
Do you remember Wilt 'The Stilt's' Chamberlain's 100 point game Mar. 2, 1962. Kobe Bryant scored 81 points Jan 22, 2002.
Of all the top scoring games in the History of the NBA, of all players who had 60 or more points, out of the top 60 highest scoring games by all individuals, Wilt Chamberlain is listed in 32 of those 60 games, where players put up the most points.
Kobe Bryant and Michale Jordan, both are listed only 5 times with 60 or more points.
Were you fortunate enough to watch Wilt Dominate the NBA, even tho' only a couple Centers could hold Wilt in check, and sometimes beat him, like then Lew Alcindor (aka Kareem Abdul Jabbar), and Bill Russell. Willis Reed tried, but Wilt was just to big, and Willis was strong but short for a Center. Now those were the real glory days, we will never probably see again.
