I liked the old logo for the Magic. I guess it just makes me nostalgic for the 90's.

Orlando needed a new emblem (or at least updated). Isn't this like the 3rd change the Jazz have had in the last decade +?

Orlandos change is kind of boring. Their colors aren't really good, imho. That blue is a poor blue for sports teams.

The Jazz though, I like. I never did like the jazz going to the baby blue colors. It's a better fit for their past, and while I did just say that the Magic should change their colors, teams changing colors have to get it right or not do it at all.

The Wizards, mostly because they used to have a cool name. I really don't see how you could mess that up so badly. They went from the Bullets, with the standard red/white/blue colors, to the Wizards (which makes no sense at all) with one of the ugliest color schemes in the NBA. It's like they threw a dart at a spinning wheel and this is what they came up with.

Memphis sends the "Grizzlies" name to Utah. Utah sends "Jazz" to New Orleans. New Orleans sends "Hornets" to Charlotte. And Bobcats is a name so bad that Memphis should let it walk, and come up with an entirely new one. The "Slims"?

most team names have nothing to do with basketball.

Blazers? Nothing. Zombie Sonics? Nothing. Lakers, Bulls, Knicks, Magic, Heat, Jazz, etc..nothing. I get your point though.

The Clippers are the team with the biggest need for an updated logo and color combo. They've basically had the same combo since 1984.

The Memphis Blues!

The Memphis blues is a style of blues music that was created in the 1920s and 1930s by Memphis-area musicians like Frank Stokes, Sleepy John Estes, Furry Lewis and Memphis Minnie. The style was popular in vaudeville and medicine shows, and was associated with Memphis' main entertainment area, Beale Street.

This seems fitting for a number of reasons.

After the Gilbert Arenas incident, there's absolutely no way they would even consider going back to the Bullets.

When they unveil the marketing tie-ins with the new DC-area Harry Potter theme park, then you'll understand. The new logo will be Harry playing quidditch, except the ball will of course be a basketball.
