OT: New Look Knicks Dominating Heat

While Randolph is productive in games, he also is a black hole who doesn't like to pass and is horrible at passing out of double teams. For a big man he gets a negligent amount of blocks. He also turns the ball over almost 3 times a game, and plays defense like he's allergic to it.

But yeah, he does get 20/10.

I just don't think it's necessarily worth it when his guy scores just as much.

Not to mention 46% FG for a big guy, isn't the greatest. He was the man when he would play downlow. But that seems like a long time ago.

1) Do the Heat stink? They have Dwyane Wade and Shawn Marion. Beasley's supposed to be good. Are they really going to go 15-67 again?

2) The Knicks were dominating the Heat when I started this thread. So the Heat made a run. So what? Knicks still won.

The real star from last year's draft is Yi. He kicked ass tonight. I think the Nets will surprise some people.

I have them down for 39 wins. I think they'll surprise, too, but they'll be erratic for the first two months or so.

You made a distinction between "productive" and "productive fantasy" player.

It's bullshit.

He's productive in actual games, whether you want to add extra words or not.

Ed O.

Well, if that is the case, he is productive for the opponent because he doesn't play defense and doesn't win many games. Unless Zach, the Proven Productive Loser, gets a pass for this deficiency?

KingSpeed, rooting for someone named "Zach." I'm sure there's a joke in there somewhere. . .

Wow, that's cold.

We all pull for Eric's career and want to see him succeed, whether we agree in a given thread or not.

He's a career 16/8 and has gone 20/10 twice in 7 seasons, and both times for lottery teams.

1) Shawn Marion was a product of Steve Nash and Amare Stoudemire.

2) It's the Knicks.

no, please don't take me the wrong way; I'm certainly pulling for Eric as well, especially after that earlier great thread. I just think there is a joke in there somewhere, if you could find the right play on words. . . .

BTW, you all do know that last season Zach averaged *more* APG than LMA? Not to mention that LMA has also been a disappointment on defense.

In all seriousness, if Zach was making less $$$, nobody would bitch about his production. If he were getting paid like a second bannana, which is what he is, he would be an undeniable asset. Why hate Zach because Nash was a tool?

On the subject of Minny, by the way, I think they're for real this season. They have surrounded Al Jefferson with good pieces. They will give us hell this year. They could even beat us out for the playoffs. We'll see.

well they did manage to beat the kings at home by 2. that's something i guess.

I've always stated this. He's not a max player, but you have to weight the contract versus the production in a league that penalizes tremendously for exceeding the salary cap.

I just can't see them getting in the playoffs this year. I can't wait to go to the MIN/POR game on the 15th!

They gave up 115 points to Miami and barely won the game.

Only 115 points? D'Antoni is really emphasizing defense this year. Phoenix rarely held anyone below 120.:ghoti:
