Rick, unfortunately this happens all the time. The Menendes brothers both got married, Scott Peters has all these women throwing themselves at him etc. There are lots of broken people out there looking for a broken mate.

Manson is my prime example for Capitol Punishment. They should have executed those buttheads after their appeals cleared the system. I also believe that the victims survivors should be in on the method of execution if they so desire. Getting tired of these clowns screaming "my rights" when they denied their victims the same. Can't remember which of Mansons followers died of cancer in prison costing the State mucho bucks for upkeep. Sharon Tates sister said hell no when asked if the Manson Girl could go home to die. I said right on to Tates sister. I've heard people say the State should not execute its citizens but I say that the offender brought that punishment on their actions. In the case of Peterson I've heard there is a price on his head, let him out in general pop and the state would not have to worry about him for long.

Susan Atkins is the one that died from cancer but the one that got me was Linda Kasabian, she was legally charged with all 7 murders but was granted immunity for testifying against the others. IMO everyone of them should have been fried.

^^^yup...once you've committed a 'heinous" crime like that, I no longer care about your "rights".

...as far as punishment, I think the family members should decide his fate. Put the perp in a room and let the family members go in, either as a group or one at a time and allow them to do whatever they want with him.

...and for the states that allow the death penalty, pay attention...Texas has an "express lane".

This girl is the symbol for mental illness. It's as sad as it is disgusting.
 
A few days after I graduated High School a friend who'd quit school and joined the Navy was back in San Diego on leave. He bought a new Dodge Dart and I was riding with him the night he took a curve up in Pomona rolled the car ending up on it's roof. We all survived and the crash was investigated by a California Highway Trooper. They were and impressive group, sharp uniforms, cruising the highways in the big block Mopars. Unfortunately Had I been able to meet the height requirements back then on one hand I would have loved to have been a member. On the other hand not so, I'd have probably took the law into my own hands and wasted some mouthy punk.
 
We kill killers all over the world with the push of a button. Home should be no different except you get your day in court. Citizenship revoked...summarily discharge the criminal with extreme prejudice. And that is more humane than decades in prison.

Agree

I must've seen, heard or read parts of more than one interview from jail with Manson.
And guess what? --> Yep, he has smiled and laughed at some point of those interviews.

The family of the victims will always grieve and feel the pain but these murderers DO SMILE, they DO LAUGH, they do get a chance to read and/or write material which helps entertain them...they DO get a chance to fill their bellies when they're hungry. They receive medical help (from the prison) to relieve their pain..and the cost probably rises as they grow old. What about the other monetary costs to supervise and maintain their existence.

My opinion,and I understand it may sound harsh but- I really don't care if or when family members of the victims ask for leniency or "forgive" those responsible...I believe "the state" must do the right thing and extinguish these horrible murderers. EXTINGUISH them and do not waste another inch,penny,crumb or asset on them.


Of course - ALWAYS, I'm talking about irrefutable evidence and DNA when it applies.

One of many things I enjoyed seeing in the Southern Gulf States, ie the Chain Gangs are still being utitlized....Seriously.

I felt our tax dollars were being well spent in Ga, Ala, S.C. MS., N.C. TN., KY.; and Luzianna. A sight, one would OFTEN see, Chain Gang members, cleaning up the Freeways/Interstates, even the court house and other Govt. entity bldgs, monuments, et al....used by Labor from Felons....Of course, a mounted few Posse Guards, holding 12 gauges, were just as present....Lord I miss those Blue Bayous, and 10 shades of green, as well as the Thunderstorms, more often than sunny days....!
