wow...that really sucks for him. Hope he's ready by training camp

That sucks for him and the Bucks. They can't seem to catch a break.

Wow... MCL and ACL? That's some serious stuff right there. Lucky for him, he's making a boatload of money the next few years.

I actually kind of wanted to see Milwaukee make the playoffs. That's too bad.

This is bad for the Grizzlies. Joe Alexander will start to get a lot more playing time meaning the Joe Alexander and Ramon Sessions for Mike Conley and a second round pick is likely not going to happen.

ya think this helps our chances of getting richard jefferson for RLEC now that milwaukiee wont be making the playoffs?

That was my thought as well. Seems like they could likely start rebuilding now that they are stuck with Redd's contract.

good news for us.... we play them in milwaukee

Another way to think about it is that we want eastern teams to be good at this point so that they can beat up on our western rivals. Having Milwaukee beat Dallas helped us out the other day. We need more of that.

I'm not a big fan of Jefferson. He seems to be regressing as a player at 28, doesn't have a lot of upside to improve, not a great shooter either.

I was thinking the exact same thing. Now that there is virtually no way they make the playoffs, will they be more open to trading RJ?

Does Milwaukee plug in Sessions for Redd's spot, or move Jefferson down and plug in Mbah a Moute into the starting lineup?

I need to know this for fantasy basketball :). Thanks.

This doesn't affect Milwaukee much at all. As far as I can tell (from doing absolutely no research) their record w/o Redd is at least as good as with him. In fact, their defense and ball movement can only improve. Much more important for them is Bogut.

This year? I don't follow the Bucks so I don't know. In past years whenever Redd has been out Mo Williams has been there to carry some more of the load (and guys like Charlie Bell stepped up too). Without Mo, that isn't nearly the same because they don't have a 1a option guard. And Bogut/CV3 are too inconsistent to be counted on.

One of the most overpaid players in the NBA is now one of the most overpaid players in the NBA who also happens to be on crutches for a year.

I feel bad for him, but MUCH worse for the Bucks.

It doesn't really matter who starts. It matters who plays more minutes. But knowing Scott Skiles, I think that he'll spread the minutes around quite a bit and no one will get a huge jump in numbers. Damn you Scott Skiles....he made Chicago Bulls players pretty (outside Deng) irrelevant in fantasy a few years ago too.
