The great Chuck Berry developed Rhythm & Blues into Rock 'N Roll from "Maybellene" to
"Johnny B. Goode". He was truly a pioneer. Chuck, thanks for that "Rock 'N Roll Music".
There was no better. R.I.P.

They had a hi-fi phono, boy, did they let it blast
Seven hundred little records, all rock, rhythm and jazz
But when the sun went down, the rapid tempo of the music fell
"C'est la vie", say the old folks, just goes to show ya' never can tell....

Two three the count, nobody on, he hit a high fly into the stands,
Roundin' third and headed for home , was a brown eyed handsome man.

...I posted on this yesterday right after the OP...but it's gone...not sure what the problem is but it has been happening more and more lately...must be some sort of software/server glitch...oh well.

Saw an old Keith Richard interview admitting to picking up Chuck Berry' s guitar and being rewarded a punch for doing so,. Though Richard joked that it was Chuck Berry's greatest hit, he also stated that no one other than Berry would have got away with it. Of the Fifties Big Time Performers my top four were Chuck Berry, Fats Domino, Jerry Lee Lewis and Buddy Holly.

"It used to be called boogie-woogie, it used to be called blues, used to be called rhythm and blues...It's called rock now".
