I'm not one who ever bought into that. It's not like Rondo is all by himself talent wise in SAC though.

Right but if you aren't good because you only were with good teammates then Magic Johnson was only good because he played with Worthy and Kareem.

I think he met his batman in Cousins..those two feed off each others demeanor

I think Rondo is really impressive. To go from getting her ass kicked in Australia to being the PG for the Kings is truly amazing.

Great player but disruptive to the team chemistry. I too was a Rondo fan but got sick of his antics. Building the team right doesn't mean Boy Scouts and a winning formula can be had with Unselfish play and hustle without the drama or insubordination.

Good point

Meh, okay point. Contract year is overrated for most players I think. I mean, it would imply that most players actively play with less effort except for their final contract year and I just find that too hard to believe. I think If I ever truly believed that, I would never pay another red cent to the NBA. That would be hard. I think its more like 1%-2% of the players in the NBA this would actually be significant.
Please don't let me be wrong on something like this. I mean if that's the case then the best team to assemble would be a bunch of average to above average players (kinda what we have now) all with contracts ending the same year.
contract year is overated 99% of the time.

12 points 18 assists 5 rebounds 4 steals

Rondo F'd the Mavs so hard. I'd love to have an honest conversation with Cuban to hear his real thoughts on Rajon Rondo.

He didn't fit their offense at all. Playing with Boogie and Gay makes a lot more sense. Boogie and Gay are a lot closer to Garnett/Pierce than Dirk/Parsons.

14 points 8 rebs 20 assists. No I don't want anyone like that playing for my team either.

Goerge Carls system has always made PGs with two brain cells look amazing. To bad those stats dont lead to wins.

Cuban probably feels like an idiot for doing it. Supposedly Coach Rick was against the trade but got overruled by Cuban.

Heard a lot of stories about what an ass Rondo is. I'm sure he's on his best behavior to get paid. You'd think he would've been for the Mavs too. Maybe he just can't fit into a group at all unless there's already multiple knuckleheads.

Maybe it's as simple as, Karl lets him call the plays and Carlisle wouldn't.

LOL.

KS my man you know better than that! RONDO?!?!? :roflmao:

Honestly, I think Kobe does. IF Kobe makes it and Dame doesn't, I will write my first letter to the commissioner condemning emphatically the voting system of the all star. This is a title that goes a long ways into the history of a players accolades. The number of all star selections can play a part in the decision making process for the HOF. Even though the players tend to make light of the game, the NBA treats it like some afterthought to try to please the fans by trying to make us think we actually have a PART in the NBA. I don't want to be a part of it and I don't want irrational fans like myself making decisions based on personal passion or preference. The all star selection should be done internally or have an outside comity anointed. Members of the media. Something like the NCAA does the Heisman and the playoffs or something. But letting us fans vote in who should start a game is just ridiculous.

Well Curry, Westbrook, and Harden are givens. Kobe is likely a given. That leaves room for 1 maybe 2 more guards. Last year, Paul beat out Lillard but this year, I think Lillard beats out Paul. And then there's Rondo, league leader in assists. I think Paul could miss the All Star game. Never mind Klay Thompson or CJ McCollum. Thoughts?

I think the fans will vote Curry and Kobe. Dame will get overlooked by the coaches and his All-Star bid will depend on whether Kobe says "thanks but no thanks" again.

So you like Paul over Lillard? What about Rondo? What would be your 4 guards after Curry and Kobe?
