People, get ready. :)

What? Where?

Where u is? The radar shows it's rolling in from the south and west.

Winter Storm Watch. 5" to 8" predicted in the next 36 hours.

Its not even cold enough to stick though.

I'm an adult and I'm still giddy as a school kid over snow! Its sooooo exciting!

Have you been channeling your inner- Jim Bosley?

Weather.com is forecasting a bunch of snow between tonight and tomorrow.

We'll see, though. ;)

Kacey Montoya, the most saucy news babe the Portland metro area has ever seen is saying its snowing in Beaverton.

I'm thinking about heading to the store to stack up on flashlights and canned foods :)

Coming down pretty good out here in Vancouver.

Hmmm... The snow shows up and barfo vanishes. Coincidence?

been coming down good here since end of blazer game but not sticking!!! ughhhh

Last night in Seattle we got enough inches to keep Mrs. HCP happy

I want more snow! I'm keeping my fingers crossed the temp will drop and we'll get a few inches in PDX.
From KGW.com
It looks like the busy weather pattern is going to continue today. Snow/wet snow and rain showers are falling this morning. The key right now is elevation with accumulation of about 1-3 inches possible above 500 feet. Below that for now, it looks like a mix of rain/snow showers with very spotty accumulations if the showers are heavy enough. We have a Winter Storm Warning for the Foothills and Cascades. We have a Winter Weather Advisory above 500 feet for the metro area and we're already watching wind for tomorrow. I the mean time I'm still watching a reinforcing shot of cold air from a modified arctic cold front. That front is still north of us and it is slowly sliding south. For now we're just seeing showers, but if that system moves over us, especially this morning, the potential for valley floor snow increases. We'll keep an eye on how far south that cold air moves. For now southerly winds are keeping most of the valley floor locations from seeing sticking snow, unless you have a brief heavy shower. Highs today will be in the upper-30s and as I mentioned, we'll keep an eye on the potential for valley floor snow based on the location of that cold front. It really could be a matter of one city seeing heavy snow, and one just south of it seeing rain.

This is funny.

Well, Blazer fans, it looked good on paper.

Now we're getting some snow. It's really coming down and sticking!

Yep, seeing some white stuff out there.

Oooh lawdy lawdy help me help me! There's slush on the ground!

Damn warm temps and rain came too soon! I was hoping I'd be able to pull off a work from home day today!

Yet another case of premature jock elation.

So did everybody survive slushmageddon?

Strangely, it did a lot of damage to me. A tiny crack (less than 1" long) in my windshield got hit dead-on by a big slushy snowflake and turned into a giant crack spanning my entire windshield. The slush soaked through my shoes, which made me take them off last night, and when I took my dog out, we got tangled up and I accidentally stepped on him twice, which made him nip at my feet. If I'd kept my shoes on, I wouldn't have a giant gouge on my 2nd left toe.

So Slushamageddon caused me some actual personal and property damage... weird.

Here's a pic from Sunriver earlier today...
