I'm watching the NBATV highlight package of Indy vs. Houston, and it had two highlights of Jack running a 3-on-1 and dishing it to the right guy! Of course, then they bring up the stats, and he only had two assists, but it's good to see that he's improved in at least one aspect of his game. I'll have to watch him more on leaguepass.

Good question.

A better question is why did everyone want to run him out of Portland?

He was too reckless. He made a lot of bad decisions at the end of games.

Plus can you imagine our guard situation if we had kept Jack?

Because he sucked bit fat donkey cock, was that "succint" enough for ya?

Amazing to me how a so called fan could have this opinion of a player that gave his heart to this city and team. I'll admit I'm glad we made the deal with Indiana, and I found some faults with Jack's game, but to say this shit is fucking rude and disrespectful.

I just don't see how you could be a fan of the Blazers and have this take about a Jack.

He isn't a fan. He's just here to take out his anger on people. Now that Jack is gone, Frye/Outlaw/insert here is his latest object of hatred.

Maybe it's his first year being a fan. Sometimes I get the feeling that may be a theme with some people around here.

Fogo, is your avatar doing the "Lawnmower"?

Yeah, I just don't get it sometimes. It's like people have forgotten the past five seasons. Things are GREAT right now.

Why isn't this board?

Maybe it is because neither of you know why I wrote what I wrote. I liked Jack and really wanted him to be good. Not only that, I thought he would be an awesome character actor in a gangster movie. That dude would look kickass in a pimped out suit.

I hope he plays for another ten years and retires rich and with a ring or two.

I have no idea. Hes a character from a video game I played when i was younger. I'm not up to date on my dance lingo apparently.

Ughhhhhhhhhh I'm trying to name the video game but I can't. Give me a clue?

TJ&E

^ Two names, this being the abbreviated version. The E is the one in my avatar. If you can't get it and it's bugging you I can just tell you too. It was on SEGA Genesis.

Dammit. Sonic? TMNT?

Yeah, I give up.

Good for Jarret. I know he is much maligned around here, but it's not like he did anything else but play his ass off and give it everything he had (however inconsistent that was) while in a Blazers uniform, he just committed the unforgivable sin of not turning into an all-star.

I hope he finds continued success in Indy or elsewhere.

It's a classic.

I was always a Jarrett Jack fan. I was disappointed to hear about his constant trade requests, but that made sending him out easier.

Fuck. Yeah, I would have never gotten that. I'm normally good at these too. Thanks though, I'll get it next time. aijflasdjflsjdafiu43htnkejrnf

He ran successful fast breaks on many occassions last season. Were you watching?

Yes I did, and no he didn't. "Many" might include 3 in 82 games for you, but it doesn't for me. I'm NOT SAYING HE SUCKS, but he absolutely was very incompetent at running a fast break. Scratch that...change it to "imcompetent at taking advantage of 3-on-1, 3-on-2, and 2-on-1 opportunities"

^Yep.

Anyway, Jack did get hated on a lot, but he also did somewhat deserve some of the criticism (obviously didn't deserve the hate). I really hope he succeeds wherever he plays, and finds a good home on a good team.

His behind the back pass/turnover during the fast break against Denver is etched into my mind. We just had to hold onto the ball, we were up by 1!

Also, the majority of his successful fast breaks were him doing the bulldog thing, taking it to the hole hard and getting the shot to fall or being fouled. He typically had poor passing on the fast break and had trouble finding the player running down the wing to the hole. I loved his dogged determination, went nuts by his inability to hit the driving open man.

That's just a counterpoint to your post though... I'm done speaking negative about him. I really liked Jarrett, and hope he's successful in Indy and watch for him in the box scores. He just wasn't a good fit here, and his minutes last night went to an 11-assist, 1 turnover Sergio. I'm feeling A-OK about it.

We should really just be happy Jarrett's playing well and move on.

I'd say we're much better off with Rudy taking over his minutes.

I'm glad Jarrett's found a new home, but his inconsistency drove me crazy. And that Denver turnover is also still on my mind, as well as multiple other screw-ups on the fast break.
But I'd cheer for the guy when Indiana comes here, he gave it his all.
