Keep track of the zeros on the contracts, because Andrew Wiggins is set to cash in after being selected No. 1 overall by the Cleveland Cavaliers.

2014 NBA Draft No. 1 overall pick Andrew Wiggins has signed a contract with adidas that will keep the 19-year-old rookie in the same brand that he grew accustomed to wearing while in college at Kansas. The contract was described by Wiggins’ agent Bill Duffy of BDA Sports Management as a “mid-term contract” that is not excessive in length. In fact, Duffy told FORBES that there are a lot of creative aspects of Wiggins’ shoe deal with adidas, including a provision that gives Wiggins the flexibility to opt out of the agreement and revisit the marketplace during the term of the contract.

Duffy added that it is “safe to say it’s the greatest rookie contract adidas has ever done in basketball,” and referenced the inclusion of a large royalty scale that will handsomely compensate Wiggins as he progresses in the NBA and as his relationship with adidas grows. Adidas maintains partnerships with other prominent NBA players including first-time NBA All-Stars Damian Lillard and John Wall, as well as 2014 NBA Draft No. 5 overall pick Danté Exum and Derrick Rose of the Chicago Bulls. It also has relationships with cultural icons Kanye West and Pharrell Williams.

Question is, will he be a timberwolf or a cavalier rocking Adidas.
