I'm not sure if this is the appropriate place to put this, but I'm going to do it anyways because it has the most viewers.

Besides being an avid Blazers fan, I'm also an avid Mariners fan and follow a blog called USSMariner very closely.

The owner the the blog, David Cameron, does an absolutely great job covering the Mariners. I mean great.

He has recently been nominated for a $10,000 scholarship blog that will be decided by votes by 12PST tonight. He is currently behind the leader by about 700 votes. Dave has just been married and could really use this money as a student.

To vote, go to http://www.collegescholarships.org/blog/ and select David Cameron. It takes 5 seconds.

It truly is a great blog, and he could really use the scholarship.

To legitimize this, ESPN's Keith Law reads the blog, and has himself encouraged people to vote for Dave in his chat today: http://proxy.espn.go.com/chat/chatESPN?event_id=23724

Sorry if this needs to be moved. We just need the votes.

You said Justin Varner, right?

Joking. Felt generous and helped out. Good luck to him.

I want my cut though! ;)

Voted for your buddy.

In return, I want you and David to go to www.nba.com every day and vote for Brandon for the All Star team.

Lol, no problem. Just read my name.

edit - We're starting to cut into lead. If you haven't voted, please do!

Maybe im blind... but I do not see where to select his name. Do I need to create an account?

USS Mariner is a great blog. I read it and I'm not even a Mariners fan (A's fan). It's just really well-written and intelligent. Cameron also does great work on FanGraphs.com.

I voted. The radio buttons do not work in FireFox. When I opened the link in IE it worked fine.

Good luck.

I was about to go there in Firefox and then noticed this. Thanks for the tip and hope he wins.

Gramps...

I just voted for him. Looks like he's losing ground though. :(

Just voted too, but looks like the other dude is pulling ahead.

Looks like it isn't going to happen. The other guy has posted his link on dailykos.com, people who agree with his views. Sad. There's been some pretty ugly and untrue things said.

Thanks for the help though everyone.

a blog called USSMariner very closely.

Same USSMariner who posted on ESPN years ago? By years ago, I mean 2000?
