They cut taxes and spending and revenues increased. Go figure.

yeah, that would make sense to cut spending affecting the budget surplus, reversing the damage of the early obama administration when he had the democratic majority.

they really haven't passed a budget yet have they?

“Because of the large inflows of tax revenues, the federal government usually runs a budget surplus in April — though that did not occur in 2009, 2010 and 2011,” CBO said

Don't be in here trying to drop knowledge BP, as if the answer had been in everyone's face (i.e. the article)!

Which month do corporations pay tax?

Oh that's right, I forgot--never!

As an accountant, I can appreciate the humor. But it's the big corps that (generally) pay less than their share.

The small corps. and what not get screwed!

For the record, corporate taxes are (generally) due 3/15 (I say generally because it depends on a corporation's year-end). So this wouldn't have really helped the surplus so much. It's really us, the people, that created the surplus. Now, let's go watch it flush down the government's giant toilet.

That's correct. Corporations are individuals according to this Supreme Court, so the same rules apply--the big guys pay a lower rate than the little guys.

I can only assume you've heard of payroll taxes.
