Other teams' cuts

Rade Zagorac will be cut or traded. There's another guy that'd upgrade our bench.

*waits for BNM to cherry pick and paste his basketball ref stats to argue otherwise.*

No need to even look up his stats.

There are players sitting out of rotations that would've helped us. Every player has a price, they're all available. Instead, were going to be relying on rookies

We're not supposed to rely on our rookie first round picks, who actually made an NBA roster, but you want to depend on somebody else's rookie second rounder, who got cut, to make our bench better?

Pick one genius.

Zagorac isnt a freshman out of college, he's coming from a professional league playing against guys much older and physically mature than him. Basketball ref doesn't take that into account?

Apparently neither do the Memphis Grizzlies.

I didn't mention basketball-reference. MEM who knows him better, has scouted him more and seen him play doesn't think he's worthy of an NBA roster spot.

It's funny how cut and dry your arguments become when you're arguing against a player. When you defend them all of a sudden the previous five systems the player was in didn't fit his skills, etc, etc.

Whatever you say.

Funny how when you can't counter my cut and dry argument you resort to attacking the poster not the post. Try to stay on topic Skippy.

On topic? Please lead me to where you mentioned anything about Zagorac' ability on the court and I'll gladly "stay on topic."

Serious question. If someone is not good enough to make another team's 15 man roster, why do we think they would help our team?

I'm sure it's happened at some point, but when was the last time a player who was cut before opening night was picked up by another team and make a significant impact for that team?

Note: I am talking about players that were flat out cut, not bought out so they could go chase a ring with the team of their choosing.

BNM

Does this count?
Also: think of players like Hassan Whiteside, waived repeatedly before he found a role. Likewise JaVale McGee. It's quite often the case that a guy the coaches would've kept if they could gets waived because a team has committed to to many other guaranteed contracts.

(NB: I'm not defending Gerald Green. Keep away from THAT guy.)

Yea and Memphis is a pretty solid organization too.

I think it's a better policy to chase players released from a bad franchise.
I'll take whatever Vlade Divac thinks is bad.

JaVale McGee wasn't waived because DEN had too many guaranteed contracts. In fact, DEN pulled a John Nash and gave McGee a ridiculously huge contract extension after half a season of blocking a lot of shots (see Theo Ratliff).

MEM, who scouted him, drafted him and has seen him play, doesn't think his on court performance is worthy of an NBA roster spot.

Ok now give me your opinion. Or have you never seen him play? Maybe sit this one out.

You were the one who drew me into this conversation with your snarky little smart ass comment that specifically mentioned me by name.

Make your case for how Rade Zagorac will make our bench better. If not, maybe you're the one who should sit this one out.

Yeah, we know. You've seen him play against some inferior competition. Big deal, MEM saw him against that same competition, in practice and in preseason games against other NBA hopefuls and didn't think he'd make their bench any better.

So, please tell us why you're right and MEM is wrong. Have at it Skippy.

Truth hurts?

I guess when it's a player you like it's ok to preach to everyone why he bounced around from team to team, but when it's someone else's player we just have to accept that the team knows what it's doing. You're a special one.

And I'll save the "scouting report" for someone that actually has an open mind.

Your argument here isn't with me, it's with MEM.

All you have provided is cheap shot at me and an unsupported claim that Rade Zagorac would make our bench better. You've told us nothing about HOW or WHY he'd make our bench better.

So, go ahead and enlighten us. Tell us why MEM is wrong about thus guy and you are right. We're waiting...

Is Wade Baldwin another Mo Harkless? Dunno, but as has been mentioned, he's available:
