"I remember President Bush saying to me one time in the Oval Office," Biden began, "'Well, Joe,' he said, 'I'm a leader.' And I said: 'Mr. President, turn and around look behind you. No one is following.'"

The exchange is purely "fictional," said Rove, who was Bush's top political adviser in the White House.

"It didn't happen," Rove, a FOX News contributor and former Bush adviser, told Megyn Kelly in an interview taped for "On The Record." "It's his imagination; it's a made-up, fictional world.

. . . Throughout his career, Biden has often been accused of boasting about his accomplishments, embellishing his credentials and even stealing the words of others. He dropped out of the 1988 presidential race after being accused of plagiarizing British Labor Party leader Neil Kinnock.

Well then, if that little weasel ROVE said it didn't happen, then by god I'll believe him. I mean after all it's not like he's Karl Rov... wait, shit.

You must not have read the whole article:

"Rove's skepticism was echoed by a variety of other Bush aides, including former White House press secretary Ari Fleischer, chief of staff Andy Card and legislative liaison Candida Wolff . . . "

I'm sure he didn't. He just reflected back onto Joe Biden's long history of veracity and...oh, wait...

Why are we attacking Shooter in a thread about the Vice President?

Well, I thought we were teasing him, rather than attacking him. But I'll withdraw my comment.

When posters talk about jailblazer days, thre are certain players that come to mind for me that resemble those days and that label.

When people talk about the Bush era . . . Karl Rove comes to mind as a person who represented what that adminstration was all about. Cheney more so than Rove . . . but Rove is right up there for me.

Apparently Biden is going to be one of the people you can't trust in the Obama administration (in addition to Obama himself, of course).

If the Obama's admistration develops that kind of reputation, I wouldn't be surprised if Biden is a head figure associated with that reputation.

It's hard for me to imagine a VP being more controversial than Chaney . . . but we haven't seen what Biden can do yet.

Not only is Biden a liar, he murders dogs:

Fifteen minutes of fame turned into four months of bitter remorse for the Chester County woman who sold the Bidens their adorable little German shepherd puppy.

Linda Brown's been investigated, scorned and had her life threatened.

"I thought when Joe Biden bought a puppy from me, what an honor," Brown told the Daily Local News. "Out of millions of breeders in the country, in the world, he picked me."

That was December.

When the story got out, Brown faced backlash from pet lovers who thought the Bidens should have opted for a shelter over a breeder to find their new puppy.

PETA seized the moment as an opportunity to blame the killing of shelter animals on people who buy from breeders. The organization's TV commercial, "Buy One, Get One Killed" ran in Delaware after the Biden puppy story made headlines.

Not a fan of Obama?

I love America. Why do you ask such silly questions?

Because, you're questioning the VP! I mean, just look at your signature. What do you think that does to the moral of the troops? Why do you hate the troops?

Bidens problems with embellishing, plagiarizing or being a liar are well documented for many many years. I don't know what the problem is with all this. It's just the way he is.

Ah, I see. You're just fooling around and having a little fun. Good for you.

Right. Questioning the administration when Bush was in office was an act of treason. Now that it's Obama, it's a-okay and I'm just having a blast.

"Questioning the administration" is not in itself an act of treason. Administrations have been "questioned" throughout our history. It's part of our process.

What's treasonous is when senators and representatives say "the war is not winnable" when our forces are fighting in the field. That certainly affects our soldiers' morale and undermines our national policy.

Questioning Obama's "stimulus" bill will have no affect on our troops whatsover. They couldn't care less about that kind of thing. As for Biden, our troops probably already know that he's a serial liar, so that won't affect them, either.

I think you just insulted the intelligence of the troops.

Funny, I think by defending this ridiculous spending, you just insulted the intelligence of the American people.

So what? You claim that most of them are fools who voted for Obama because they can't think for themselves. Or is this do-as-I-say-and-not-as-I-do day?

American troops fighting terrorists in Afghanistan and Iraq aren't exactly focusing on the stimulus bill being debated back in D.C.. That's the point. They can certainly understand the nuances of a stimulus package, however; there's no doubt about that.

Did the President run on the $787B spending program? Did he run on tripling the size of the Federal debt? Did he run on $1T+ deficits in perpetuity? Nope. He ran on "Change" and "Hope" and allowed people to fill in the blanks for themselves.
