When you consider the crap that has replaced them that's a staggering loss of offense.

9 players = 194 HRs & 584 RBI. Replaced with 33 HRs from Overbay, Hafner & Wells. Hardly seems fair.

At least they did save themselves from giving Swisher a contract and watching him do nothing for the next four years. The Indians get to enjoy that show.

It truly is amazing that we are 7 games over .500. I really hope there is a better plan than what we have seen from the front office so far. Every team knows the Yankees are in trouble and I can't help to think that they are in some ways enjoying it and are in no hurry to be willing trade partners. And for that reason, I don't see much happening before the trade deadline. This will be an interesting winter.

I don't see much happening either, but it needs to happen... Hughes can walk if not traded and we'd get nothing for him... same with Joba... Even more likely with Cano... we need to get something rather than lose them outright...

Hughes being a fly ball pitcher needs to pitch in a large park like San Francisco. With the pitching trouble they've been having lately I'm sure they would listen. Besides the'll need someone to replace that piece of shit Zito. As far as Joba I'm sure the Yankees could find some sucker to take him.
