the part that made me take a double take was the Red Zone Defense. And Pass Efficiency Defense for Auburn. Do you think that Chip and co will come out passing to catch Auburn off guard maybe, not really used ot Oregon Passing to set up the run, but even Kelly says, he isnt married to one system.

I had a dream last night that Thomas threw deep to Huff on a play-fake for the first play of the game. Of course, the Duck were wearing green, which is impossible, and I think Huff fumbled as he was heading toward the end zone if I remember my dream correctly. I'm not sure who recovered because the alarm went off at that moment.

I stole this actual text from
Ted Miller, but have posted similar stats here and on the Pac 10 board.

Oregon gave up just 11 rushing TDs, fewest in the conference. Opponents averaged 3.3 per run, which was tied with Arizona State for No. 1 in the conference.

Oregon's defense yielded 4.5 yards per play, best in the Pac-10 and fifth nationally among AQ teams.

Oregon ranks sixth in the nation in pass efficiency defense, higher than any of Auburn's previous opponents.

Oregon and Arizona State tied for No. 1 in the conference in third down defense, with foes converting only 33.5 percent of the time. Because the Ducks were 0.01 percent better, however, they ended up 10th in the nation and the Sun Devils were 11th.

It's always been my opinion that yards per play and 3rd down defense are two of the more important defensive statistics. Looking at these numbers, it becomes obvious to me that the Duck defense is being completely overlooked and is probably the best its been since Rich Brooks was coach.

Auburn, on the other hand, has a rather average to just above average defense, using these same numbers.
