Please... the first one was fucking terrible. The only good thing about that movie was that it only took 11k to make. That's a scary small amount of money for a hit movie like that. Insane profit.
I watched it last night and the thing that I can't stand about most horror movies is that they ask you to suspend TOO MUCH disbelief. I think most movies ask you to suspend some disbelief, but horror movies ask you to basically throw all common sense and logic out the window.
Take Paranormal Activity for example...
There is no fucking way they would have stayed in that house that long. No way. I don't care what the psychic said. No way. You'd get the fuck out and hit the road if you had to.
Second thing, I don't see the boyfriend being that arrogant and stupid after things started to get really serious. Doors opening and closing? Sure. Keys moving to a different spot? Okay. Girl being possessed and not remembering where she was or what happened? Maybe. Once they found the picture in the attic or the whole Ouija board incident, I think that would be enough for me. I'd be scared out of my mind, and my girlfriend being torn out of bed or stabbing herself would have just meant that I would throw her over my should and gtfo.
I just don't buy this kind of shit. He's running around talking shit to the demon, acting all tough, charging into the dark like he's invincible. I was actually happy when he died at the end. He was a moron. I felt bad for the girl though. Wasn't her fault that she was dating an idiot.
