I would rather watch the illegitimate brother of Travis Knight play instead of Harkless at this point

small sample size for Pat C, so as of now, Ill go with Crabbe
Understandable. Crabbe is a deadeye shooter. Pat can do pretty much everything else better though. He's not great, but he plays his role and doesn't really make mistakes out there.

I agree, Pat C looks like he has more to his game than just shooting, although its questionable how good is he at doing those things... I need to see him drive in the paint more, so I could form an opinion

but he looks small and unathletic to me, maybe Im wrong, well see

We shall.

Pat shot better than Crabbe last year (small sample size) and he does it again this year. It's about time we start thinking about Pat as a dead-eye shooter as well...

Yesterday's game:

37 minutes from Connaughton and 31 combined minutes from Harkless/Turner. Pat: 12pts, 4rebs, 3asts, 2stls, 1 blk, 0trns...Harkless/Turner: 6pts, 4rebs, 0asts, 0stls, 0blks, 3trns. The icing on the cake, Connaughton 1.5M...Harkless/Turner 27.3M:beatinto:

What a Return on Investment gap! :twothumbs:

The only enjoyment I took from yesterdays game, was watching how efficient Pat played. Granted he is not exceptional, as he does not take over a game, but he is everywhere. He does not play fast and loose with the ball, has great instincts when to pass and when to shoot. Always going after the ball on D. He has shown that he is far more than a spot up 3 baller.

Whether Pat takes 1 shot or 5, teams have to respect his shot, and that's good for our offence. He plays smart and he's a hustle player. Should have a decent career as a role player.

Pat has a high basketball I.Q. and really all he is basketball player he doesn't specialized in anything. All he does he goes out there and plays.

If Pat could really turn into a decent contributor that Plumlee deal would look even better !

Patty may be decent at defense guarding the SG (although Beal abused him). But guarding SF he is very overmatched. He puts in a lot of effort (which I love) but that doesn't mean he is skilled. Of course he could improve but Harkless (who I know is like a bad name to bring up anymore) is twice the defender as him even when not engaged. Problem is Harkless is moping and POR isn't getting him involved on the baseline like last year.

Patty is a good piece though. A lot of people wanted to cut him. Glad we didn't. He just has plenty of work to do (as do most of our players).
