I was watching a PBS Youtube doc on earths changes and it was fascinating. According to the doc, 248 million years ago it rained for 2 million years straight without a break which caused the continents to split apart and rivers and oceans to be carved out and earth went from a dried cracked desert with basically horned cow sized hog type creatures, dog sized velociraptors and alligators that walked on two legs to a giant volcanic event followed by long deluge and then the dinosaur age. Youtube is the home of PBS programing now for me. I love it.
