pendergraph's details

I think that's a win/win. Pen gets a contract, despite being injured. The Blazers hold onto their prospect, do him right by paying him despite his injury, and still hold all the cards if for some reason he doesn't work out.

Sweet. He'll be making chump change by NBA standards, but over 10 times more than I make in his first year. Must be nice.

Jeff Pendergraph: Signed a three year minimum salary contract in September 2009. First year is fully guaranteed. Second year fully unguaranteed, but becomes fully guaranteed if:

a) Pendergraph plays in 10 or more regular season games in 2009/10
b) Pendergraph plays in at least 50% of the team's postseason games in 2009/10
c) Pendergraph is not waived on or before July 25th 2010.

Is that "and" c, or "or" c?

It's good to get details but a bit frustrating that one key word was left out.

That is frustrating.

I'm going to guess "or" because if it was "and" that really makes #1 and #2 irrelevant. In other words if it was "and" . .. basically at the end of each year it really comes down to if the Blazers waive him to make his contract unguaranteed regardless of how many games he played in the season or postseason . . . so why even put that in . . .
