Pete Sampras top WTT draft pick

Pete Sampras is back at No. 1, returning to the World TeamTennis Pro League after being picked first overall in the marquee player draft by the Newport Beach Breakers.

Sampras, who finished a record six seasons atop the ATP rankings, last played WTT in 2007.

He's one of 10 current or past No. 1-ranked players who were in Tuesday's draft, including sisters Venus and Serena Williams -- both returning to the Washington Kastles.
