Qualifier Petra Cetkovska upset French Open champion Li Na in a dramatic third-set tiebreaker to reach the final of the New Haven Open, the final WTA tuneup before next week's U.S. Open.
Cetkovska, ranked No. 40, won 6-2, 5-7, 7-6 (9) on her fifth match point, reaching the first WTA final of her career in a match that lasted over 2 hours, 40 minutes. She will play the winner of Friday night's other semifinal between three-time defending champion Caroline Wozniacki and third-seeded Francesca Schiavone.
