Right now, I think it's going to be

1. Bama
2. Oregon
3. FSU
4. Ohio State

I think the committee is going to punish the BIG12 for not naming a true champion despite an obvious tie breaker.

I see 4 conference champions there...:dunno:

I see two conference co-champs further down.

I love that all this talk of committee-bashing (especially Greeny. My goodness, please STFU) is over 4/5/6.

Last year, either Bama or Oregon would be pissed right now b/c a sorry undefeated team would bump one of them (probably UO) from the NC. No one would give a f$$* about Big 12 gimmicky teams being in Top 2. OSU wouldn't be in the conversation. How does a computer track a 3rd-string QB?

Crap, I just saw that you and BDSM fan were talking about this in the other thread. Nevermind.

Yup. I have no problem with the committee. This is a better system. I know some people want an 8 team playoff, but I just don't see them adding potentially 3 more games to a team's schedule.

1 & 3 plays in the Rose Bowl?

Oregon will be 1st, against Florida.

No, #1 gets to pick between the Sugar Bowl and the Rose Bowl. #2 gets whichever bowl is left.

Sweet, Ducks playin' in the Rose Bowl!

Looks like his quote was just a year too early, "I don't want to play in a Rose Bowl unless I'm playing for a national championship," Oregon receiver Josh Huff said.

#1.Oregon
#2.Alabama
#3. TCU
#4. Ohio State

Oregon and Alabama are the easy picks. The next two are tough. FSU has just not played like a dominant team this year.7 of their wins were by 6 or less points, and 4 of those were unranked teams. You just don't see that from dominant college teams. The schedule overall was easier than the other teams in contention. I think they will make the playoffs, I just wouldn't choose them if it were up to me.

- Baylor beat TCU at home, but lost to West Virginia 41-27, but had 3 wins against strong teams.
-TCU beat Oklahoma and Kansas, and beat West Virginia, the team that beat Baylor

-Ohio State got beat by 2 TDs at home to Virginia Tech, but beat Michigan and destroyed Wisconsin.

Yeah, basically all the pundits are saying we're at the Rose Bowl no matter what.

If the commision's goal is to put the 4 best teams in, I don't see how they can pick Florida State. Just take a look at their schedule. They had 4 wins of +14 points all year, and those was against absolute crap teams. I doutbt they have the balls to leave the only undefeated team off, and listen to the groans...but Florida is not a top 4 team. They will get destroyed.

They're undefeated. They haven't lost in two full years. They're the reigning champs. They're going to get in. There's really no doubt about it.

Can't leave out FSU, they haven't lost a game in over two years.

They are simply lucky this year. Dominant college teams dominate the competition.

I know they are. I think they're overrated and probably the weakest of the top teams. I want to play them badly.

With that said, they aren't getting left off. Consider the politics. It has nothing to do with whether they're the best.

The only games FSU has won that were not squeekers: Citadel, NC State, Wake Forest, Syracuse, and Virgina. And they only had 2 20+ point wins all season.

Why are you trying to make a case? They're going to get in the top four. I really don't see any way they're left off.

The committee already had Florida State at #4 coming into this week, even though all the teams above them had 1 loss. So they are looking at quality of wins. Now Ohio State destroyed Wisconsin while FSU had another close game.

Mine would be

1. Alabama
2. Oregon
3. Florida State
4. Ohio State

Say what you want about FSU, but they are undefeated, and did schedule Notre Dame, Florida and Oklahoma State out of conference.

As for the Big 12 schools, I am using the argument that everyone here in Texas used on me when Oregon was in the Pac 10. They can't take a team seriously that doesn't have a championship game.

Going undefeated by barely beating 2nd and 3rd rate teams is less impressive than losing 1 close game to a top team, but for the most part dominating your schedule. Anyway, good for the Ducks they left FSU in, they are about to get their win streak ended.
