Here's a little info on the remaining games for us and the other teams we are battling for the playoffs spots with.

Portland (26) 11 home, 15 road.
15 vs. teams .500 or better

Dallas (28) 16 home, 12 road.
18 vs. teams .500 or better

San Antonio (30) 12 home, 18 road.
21 vs. teams .500 or better

OKC (30) 15 home, 15 road.
19 vs. teams .500 or better

Phoenix (27) 16 home, 11 road.
15 vs. teams .500 or better

Houston (29) 15 home, 14 road.
18 vs. teams .500 or better

New Orleans (28) 15 home, 13 road.
20 vs. teams .500 or better

Memphis (29) 14 home, 15 road.
19 vs. teams .500 or better

Our schedule has more roadies against bad teams than most. Unfortunately, we haven't been world-beaters at those games. We've already lost this year to GSW, PHI, WAS, NYK, LAC

Those losses were all BC (Before Camby). ;)

In short, only Phoenix has an easier schedule than the Blazers, which means it'll probably be hard to overtake them in the playoff race. The Thunder and the Spurs, on the other hand...

I honestly think the Spurs don't get in this year. They lost tonight to Philly and I can see them losing a lot of the tougher games. So Memphis, San Antonio and New Orleans are perhaps the teams to not make it?

We should hopefully be able to gain a little ground in March. We play only 13 games in March. To put that in perspective, we played 13 games in February which is a short month that also included the All Star break. We play two back to backs in March... one of which is also the longest road trip of the month... a little 2 game trip on the 27th and 28th.

houston is the only team who can catch us. thats only because they will have 5 wins by next friday. sac, minny, wiz, pistons, nets

okc has a very soft schedule. we arent catching them. spurs however are very possible. 7th seed at best....at best

I want to finish #8 and play the Lakers because I truly believe we can beat them. We don't match up well with Dallas even though we beat them twice this year at their place.

With a healthy and fully productive Oden? Yeah I could see it. But with Just Camby and Aldridge as our starting frontcourt I think we'd be lucky to steal one game from LA -- Phil Jackson doesn't lose in the first round very often, even less often when he's got a first seed.
