Playstation 3 Online Help

So I bought an 80 gig PS3 yesterday and can not seem to find out how to set up online play. My computer and PS3 are in 2 completely different rooms. Does anyone here know how to set it up?</p>

Do you have a wireless router? and if you do is it a lynkys?</p>

I think I have a wired router. It's not a lynkys.</p>

What I mean is do you have wifi capability?</p>

Even if you have a wireless router I highly recomend using a wire to connect your PS3 up to prevent lag.</p>

I have the exact same problem and I've found out many people have this problem as well.</p>

It says Ihave 70 percent strength but I've never even connected once to the server.</p>
