I'm tired of the race card period.... Its become very much the boy who cried wolf....
Ron....you're a Tonto? Thought you were black. And Rick never would have pegged you as a Mick.
This post sarcastically typed wearing blackface.![]()

Thank you Ted Danson![]()
Years of All in the Family.
Rob I have NEVER & will NEVER use the term "African Americans" not because I don't respect the black race (because for the most part I respect everyone until you show me otherwise) but because I've yet to know anyone in my short 60+ years of life who were ever born in Africa. Or for that matter had parents that were born in Africa. Hell, to be more honest I've never even had any black friends that have even VISITED Africa. So how the fuck can you call someone like that AFRICAN Americans. My grand parents on my dads side were born in Leitrim & my grand parents on moms side were from Dublin. So should I be known as IRISH American. IMO the only group of people that have a right to be called (Blank) Americans are the Asians since most of then WERE actually born there. Or at least there parents were.
...If people really want to help make the race issue better and perhaps eventually go away, simply stop helping to perpetuate it by bringing it up and stop talking about it all the time. The news media can/should stop referring to people as a "black man" or a "black women" because when you get right down to it, does it really matter?
...Blacks can also stop referring to themselves as "afro-american" even though they are not. I'm from Scotch-Irish-Indian descent but do I go around flapping my arms about it or whining about how badly my ancestors were treated?...No, and why?...Because that was over a 100 years ago and me and my parents were born in Jacksonville, Fla......which makes me an "American".
...Blacks can also help by ceasing to refer to themselves as "us". They claim they want "equality" yet they continue to lump them selves in a completely separate group by using the term "us". I'm assuming that makes non-blacks "them"?
...Here we are 50 years later and things have not really changed that much in the minds of many blacks because many of them think whitey is still out to get them, which is silly. But what is true is that many non-blacks are creating a lot of resentment by playing the race card all the time.
...Does racism still exist?...of course it does. But it's by no means one sided. As an example just take note of the groupings at social events, blacks choose to sit with blacks for the most part. Blacks also tend to stick together when worshipping...(most blacks go to black churches) Now, they either do this because they'd rather not deal with non-blacks or they believe non-blacks don't want to be with them..............this reasoning kind in itself is by definition, "racist".
