We will be upgrading the site software to vBulletin 4.0 PL1 on Sunday or Monday. The site will be down for about 30 minutes while I perform the upgrade.

Have no fears, this is a slam dunk. I've already practiced the upgrade on a test server and it went off without a hitch. Anything that comes up, I am 100% confident I can address and fix.

Definitely going to be a great upgrade, looks very nice. I'm sure you guys will like it, even though it will be a bit different.

After reading this thread on vBulletin's site, I'm not sure the software is good enough.

I think we will do some serious testing of our staging site, at least, before we consider the change. And certainly watch vbulletin's own forums to see if people are happy with their site upgrades.
